Buying costs

Real estate taxes:

This is 4 % of the property value stated in the Tapu Office. It is paid at one of the State Banks at the time of conveyance  (the amount stated in the Tapu Office is lower than the real property value and approximately stated between 1000-5000 Euro).  


Fee at the Tapu Office:

Fee for certified translator at the Tapu Office*:                                                       50 Euro

*A certified translator is required by law to translate the document into the appropriate foreign language

Registration Fee at the Tapu Office:                                                               +/- 200 Euro


Giving Power of Attorney:

approx. 175 Euro


Obtaining “Completion Report” - Iskan (Newly built properties only):


Starting from 350 Euro, depends on the size and the location of the property


Electricity:

New connection of electricity meter: approx. 100 Euro (only once)
Name transfer of an existing connection: approx. 60 Euro (only once)
Energy cost per kwh: approx. 0,15 Euro


Water:

New connection of water meter: approx. 60 Euro (only once)
Name transfer of an existing connection: approx. 30 Euro (only once)
Water cost per m3: approx. 0,75 Euro
